Counseling Philosophy
The overwhelming emotional strain resulting from the unavoidable difficult life circumstances, emotionally traumatic past experiences, or
conflictual / abusive relationships can lead to exhaustion, diminished ability to cope with everyday life, and development of certain psychological conditions over time that require treatment.
The foundation of my therapeutic work is embedded in my belief that, if provided a right treatment opportunity in a safe and confidential therapeutic environment, each one of us has a strong potential to resolve complex psychological issues and develop effective ways of coping with everyday life to achieve greater satisfaction and meaningfulness.
The central focus of my practice is the provision of counseling for conditions originating mainly from the emotionally overwhelming experiences such as childhood physical, emotional or sexual abuse, sexual assault, domestic abuse, marital/couple issues, divorce and separation, sudden unexpected death of loved one and the devastating loss of any kind. Such experiences may result in helplessness, guilt, or low self-esteem.
Since psychological problems are often complex and diverse, I carefully select the therapeutic approaches and styles that best meet the needs of my patients to help them achieve their treatment goals.
