Frequently
Asked Questions
I was involved in an accident about two years ago. I have problems with
attention, memory, depression, and anxiety that have persisted, even though I
was told that they would subside in about six months. I don't recall having
these problems prior to the accident. Are they attributable to that?
Determining whether or not the problems above are attributable to an accident
is a complex process in which neuropsychological testing can be very helpful.
Testing helps to "untangle" problems that may be attributable to
involvement in an accident (if any), from those that may be attributable to more
longstanding difficulties (those that the person has always had). A
neuropsychological evaluation also assists with recommendations regarding how
best to help the person.
