Frequently
Asked Questions
What if my
therapist thinks I need medication?
If your
therapist thinks that medication might assist you, then your
therapist will discuss a referral to a health professional who
is trained in working with emotional and behavioral issues.
Often this may be your family doctor. At other times it might be
a specialist like a neurologist or a psychiatrist. For many
people, feeling good requires being physically as well as
emotionally healthy, and including your family doctor in
assisting you is often a good idea.
